Introduction

In industrial production, it is used as an auxiliary agent and auxiliary material to remove free formaldehyde in the product, and reacts with the carbonyl and amino groups in formaldehyde to generate a stable Mansini base without side effects. Using this product to remove free formaldehyde has the advantages of easy operation, flexible use, no need to change the production process, low cost of use, long-lasting effect, and no rebound.
 
Applications

1. Resin formaldehyde removal:
Used in urea-formaldehyde resin, phenol-formaldehyde resin, melamine-formaldehyde resin and other formaldehyde resins. Formaldehyde is an essential raw material in the production process of aldehydes. A certain amount of free formaldehyde is left in the finished product. Adding a certain amount of 2-imidazolidinone (ethylene urea) at an appropriate temperature can not only remove the free formaldehyde but also increase the strength of the product.

2. Adhesives:
All kinds of man-made boards, such as plywood, particleboard, fiberboard and composite man-made boards, generally use urea-formaldehyde resin, phenol-formaldehyde resin or melamine resin as adhesives, with an annual output of 80 million cubic meters in China alone. These adhesives are condensed from urea, phenol and melamine with formaldehyde, and there is a problem of slowly releasing gaseous formaldehyde into the environment. 2-Imidazolidinone (ethyleneurea) can be added to these adhesives to react with free formaldehyde to reduce the free formaldehyde content without affecting the bonding effect.

3. Inkjet printing ink:
Ethylene urea is an important additive in inkjet printing ink, which plays many roles. Including dispersing pigments, lubricating pipelines, preventing inkjet heads from drying in the air, preventing nozzle blockage, and improving ink storage stability. It can also improve color contrast and obtain high-quality printing effects.
 
Usage

Usually, it can be added directly to the finished product. Take phenolic resin as an example: after the phenolic resin is produced, cool it down to a certain temperature and add an appropriate amount of this product directly. Add slowly to prevent violent boiling. Stir for about 30 minutes until it is completely dissolved and adjust the pH value to the specified range.
